It was also a personal favourite of the renowned poet Rabindranath Tagore and social worker Narain Swamy.  Once the cantonment of the British, Ramgarh stands apart in its exquisiteness, solitude and enticing beauty. Perched at an altitude of 1789 m above the sea level, Ramgarh is a small hill station nicknamed as a Fruit Bowl of Kumaon. Once served as the British Army Cantonment, today this place is a place for the visitors to relax and refresh their soul.
