About this Destination

Alandi is one of the Municipal Councils of Pune district located at around 577 meters above sea level on the Indrayani riverbank and is known as "god's place" to the pilgrims for the number of temples. The quaint town 20.9 km away from Pune is famous for its spiritual and religious importance. Alandi is home to the resting place of the poet and Saint Dayaneshwar, and has several temples as well. Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Ram Temple and Vitthal Rakhumani temple are among a few.  The Indrayani River is the only major river passing through Alandi. Among the popular festivals in Alandi, the Pandharpur vari and Jartik festival is note worthy which are held in June -July and October to November.
