About this Destination

One of the earliest settlements in the Massachusetts Bay Colony, Watertown is situated in the Middlesex County of Massachusetts. It is a town that offers both urban and suburban mix feeling, and it can be experienced first hand at the town center, Watertown Square. Charles River mainly borders it and to the east of the city lies the famous Mount Auburn Cemetery which is a National Historic Landmark. The Watertown Arsenal, Gore House, and Abraham Browne House are some of the historical landmarks and museums that throw more light on the history of Watertown as well as Massachusetts. It is noteworthy that Watertown is home to a high number of the Armenian population and the Armenian Library and Museum of America is the perfect place to learn and experience more about this cultural diversity. The city has a vibrant art and theatre scene, and the Mosesian Center for the Arts and New Repertory Theatre are some of the places where one can satiate the art lover within.
