About this event
Christmas weekend in the mountains with a new group. We leave Chandigarh on Thursday night (24 Dec), wake up in Jibhi on Christmas morning, and are back on Sunday night (27 Dec). Travel, stay, breakfast and dinner are included, and so are two game nights you won't get on any other Jibhi trip. Jibhi itinerary: • Thu 24 Dec, 10:30 pm: meet at Sector 43 ISBT, icebreakers and a Secret Santa draw on the bus. We leave at 11 pm. • Fri 25 Dec (Christmas): reach Jibhi around 5:30–6 am, early check-in, welcome chai and sleep. Breakfast at 10, then Jibhi waterfall and a village walk, lunch at a riverside café (on your own), an afternoon at Mini Thailand (Kulhi Katandi). Evening Christmas bonfire with cake and the Secret Santa swap, then Christmas dinner. • Fri night: "The Demon of Jibhi". Blood on the Clocktower by lantern light: a sleepy mountain village, a hidden Demon among the travellers, and one night to find it before the village falls. Our storyteller runs it and explains everything, so beginners are welcome. Lighter games (Werewolf, Codenames) at the next table if you'd rather laugh than scheme. • Sat 26 Dec: breakfast, then the Chehni Kothi hike (old wooden tower, valley views). Lunch on your own, then the Tirthan riverside at Gushaini for sunset. Bonfire night with music, antakshari and Werewolf rounds, stargazing if the sky is clear. • Sun 27 Dec: sunrise chai walk, breakfast, free time for cafés, photos and lunch. We leave at 2 pm and drop you in Tricity by about 8–10 pm. It's proper winter in the hills: days around 4–10°C, nights below zero, snow possible. We only book a homestay with room heaters and power backup. Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake are snowbound in winter, so they're not on this trip. Made for solo travellers: you'll know everyone by the first bonfire.
