About SyncTrip Chandigarh Club
SyncTrip Board Games Club is Chandigarh's weekend table for anyone who likes games and would rather meet people over one than at a loud bar. We run two sessions a week in Sector 17. Saturdays are the big table - strategy games, party games, whatever the group is in the mood for. Sundays are quieter: chess, quick card games and a monthly quiz. Everything is taught. Most people arrive alone and knowing nobody, which is rather the point - you will be playing with three strangers inside ten minutes and that is the easiest way to meet people in this city. Bring nothing; we own the games.
What we do
Beginner table
Every session has one. Rules taught as we play, no reading a manual first. If you have only ever played Monopoly, this is your table.
Strategy night
Catan, Ticket to Ride, Terraforming Mars and friends. Longer games, usually the back half of Saturday.
Party games
Codenames, Mafia, Wavelength. Loud, quick, and the easiest way in if you are new - no rules to learn, just play.
Chess corner
Casual blitz on Sunday mornings. All ratings, no clocks unless you want one.
Monthly quiz
Last Sunday of the month. Teams picked on the spot so nobody sits out.

Frequently asked questions
I have never played anything past Monopoly. Can I still come?
Yes, and you are the person this club is built for. There is a beginner table at every session and someone teaches the rules as you play. Nobody is expected to have read anything beforehand.
Do I need to bring a game?
No. The club owns the games and brings them to every session. If you have one you love, bring it by all means - someone will want to play it.
What does it cost?
There is no membership fee and the weekly sessions are free to attend. You pay for whatever you order at the café. Occasional ticketed events are listed separately with the price shown up front.
I am coming on my own. Is that odd?
It is the norm here - most people at any given session arrived alone. You will be seated at a table with others within a few minutes of walking in.
Do I have to stay the whole time?
Not at all. People drop in and out across the session. Turn up late or leave after one game - both are completely normal.
Who usually comes?
Mostly working professionals and students in their twenties and thirties, though there is no age rule. Anyone happy to play with strangers fits in.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes. Ask them to RSVP too so we know how many tables to set up - and expect to be split across different games at some point in the evening.
